The Vets do not as a rule give rehabilitation advice because with some problems, one is not sure of a successful outcome, or even the path the disease will take.This book became most useful to me after my horse went down with the dreaded laminitis. Fortunately we came through that O.K. but then there was the problem of "how do I start back after an episode of such destruction" and also 'how long before I can ride the horse again". I found the solution in this book plus some details on the disease itself. The notes on the disease had a lot of information about it in just a few lines - knowledge that would take ages to retrieve by ploughing through many books. Then it went on on how to rehabilitate the horse to ride after such a traumatic event (and even if this was possible in some circumstances).This book has been so useful to me and I know it will help others through their particular horse soundness problems too. The case histories are interesting and helpful.A really nicely laid out large book, chock full of information relating to many horse soundness issues and how to rehabilitate them.Keep a copy handy - just in case.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.Great case studiesBy SeguroHumanWhen I had an injured horse, I found it very uplifting to read in detail how others had dealt with similar problems. It gave me comfort to know that the behavior problems my horse had as a result of his confinement were not unique and that others had managed.
